MENU CHOICES
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

The menu choices are plenty, and most of the food items are cooked decently enough. We ordered a salad, which was tasty, and their Seafood Combo.

We probably should have ordered breakfasts, since that is what they specialize in. But in this case, we decided to see how they did with items that were not necessarily their specialty.

Everything came out in a reasonably quick amount of time, but we wary: we arrived at dinnertime on a Saturday night. Be prepared to wait a few minutes. This is the only Anna Miller’s in the state (although we understand that they have a location in Japan as well).

PRICE
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

The prices are very reasonable, with meals ranging in price from around $8 to $20. The meals are big, so unless you’re particularly hungry, order modestly.

SERVICE
Rating: 3 out of 5 stars

Since we did arrive on a Saturday night, we had a short wait in the front lobby, where we were treated to the display of pies and other assorted desserts [as seen in the picture above]. Once we were seated, there was also a short delay before we could order a drink. After we did order our drinks (coffee), our dinner salad and entrees arrived quickly, and the waitress was very good at making sure our coffee didn’t run out.

Overall Rating: 3.67 out of 5 stars

The key to any restaurant’s survival is the basic question: would we eat there again? The answer is yes, we would, and if you’d like some comfort food, you should, too.

With all of the publicity that this restaurant has been receiving, we were really looking forward to checking it out.

Once all was said and done, though, we were very disappointed.

MENU CHOICES
Rating: 2 out of 5 stars

The menu is average for a steak house, but some items needed to be explained by our waiter. He was well informed, and every question had a solid answer. But what really annoyed us was that all items on the menu are a la carte. If you order a steak, that’s what you get. Nothing else. Side dishes must be ordered seperately. We were not impressed.

That having been the case, we came for the steak, and ordered a ribeye cooked medium well.

Their steaks are served with a pad of butter on top. We had them hold the butter because, again, we came for the steak.

When the steak finally arrived, it was overcooked. One-third of my steak was fat, and had burned. The flavor of the steak was, at best, below average.

PRICE
Rating: 1 out of 5 stars

If you have a lot of disposable income, then this is your steak house. Our steaks were $45 each, and included no side dishes. Of the steaks available on the menu, $45 was one of the lower priced items.

Visitors that have a Ruth’s Chris in their home city, should eat there if you must try this steak house. Prices in Hawaii are higher, and beef in particular.

SERVICE
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

This must be what the extra high prices are for: the wait staff. We always had a full glass. All questions we had were quickly answered.

Overall Rating: 2.33 out of 5 stars

We were very disappointed with the entire experience. Prices too high, meals were a la carte, and it was an amazingly large let down for the both of us. Save your money, and find another steak house in Hawaii. We’re looking forward to trying the others in Waikiki.
