IHOP Waikiki
by AlohaReviewedWe’ve been to the IHOP Waikiki on a couple of occasions and, while not primarily a Hawaii based chain, they are in the heart of the Tourist industry within Waikiki.
The food is about average, and service equally so. But the price is pretty decent, at about $8 to $15 for a reasonably large meal.
Seating is plentiful, but if you get the chance, try and get a booth that sits near the window that looks out onto Kuhio Avenue. After all, you came to Hawaii to see Waikiki, so why not look every chance you get?
MENU CHOICES
Rating: 
Although IHOP is primarily known for it’s breakfasts, it has enough items on the menu to provide ample selection for anyone. Steak, fish, sandwiches, salads, meats and vegetables. It’s all there somewhere. Just don’t expect to order a beer: no liquor is served here.

Affordable for just about any family, at about $8 to $15 for a large meal.
SERVICE

We ordered coffee, and had a carafe of it, so we really didn’t need anyone to provide us refills. However, one of us ordered the low calorie “Garden Scramble,” which is supposed to come with a matching low calorie syrup. We had to ask for the syrup, but it was provided quickly.
Ketchup was also requested, and showed up quickly, but had barely anything in the squeezable Heinz bottle. It was never replaced, and the waitress never asked about the bottle we left laying on it’s side, near the edge of the table, throughout our meal. We have no doubt, however, that it would have been remedied immediately if we had requested another bottle. But we felt it was the waitress who should have noticed the need, and made the offer.
Overall Rating:
We did enjoy the food, good coffee, comfortable setting and, while the waitress could have done better, she was always polite, and responsive, serving with a smile on her face. We’ll return to IHOP again.
